Books & Bites
Monday, May 18
6 PM
Starbucks in Canandaigua

Want to read a great book and then discuss it with other teens?  On Monday, May 18 at 6 PM, meet up with other teens from Wood Library's book discussion group, Books & Bites, at Starbucks in Canandaigua.  This month, teens will be reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, a story about Jurgis Rudkus, a Lithuanian immigrant working in Chicago’s infamous Packingtown. Instead of finding the American Dream, Rudkus and his family inhabit a brutal, soul-crushing urban jungle dominated by greedy bosses, pitiless con-men, and corrupt politicians.  Definitely a highly discussable book!  Contact Jenny Goodemote at 394-1381 or jgoodemote@pls-net.org for more information.

Yet another reason to get out of the house - to watch some Anime!  Stop by Wood Library on Thursday, May 21 from 6-8 PM and watch an awesome Anime tv show, Transformers: A New Beginning.  Not only do you get to watch Anime, but you can enjoy all the snacks and drinks you want.  Plus, win some cool prizes!  All Anime is recommended for ages 13 and up.  Contact Jenny Goodemote at 394-1381 or jgoodemote@pls-net.org for more information.
