Book Lover's Festival
Saturday, September 29
10 AM - 1:30 PM
On Saturday, September 29 from 10-1:30 PM, more than a dozen local authors for adults, teens and children will be at Wood Library to meet the public, talk about their books and writing, and sell signed copies of their books. Local Young Adult Authors Jan Siebold and Frank A. Beyea will be attending so teens can learn about new authors or perhaps even visit with their favorite ones. Jan Siebold is the author of My Nights at the Improv, Rope Burn, and Doing Time Online. Frank Beyea is the author of Monk's War: First Blood, a book of true stories of what it was like to live the life of a Marine ground pounder in Vietnam. The second book of the series will be published in October. The teen authors from the Comic Creation and Publishing Workshop will also be on-hand to share their stories and drawings from this year's comic book Results May Vary. Past issues will also be available for purchase.
Jan Siebold will also lead a break-out session at 12:15 PM so teens and adults can get an close-up interaction with a live author and her books and characters. The talk is limited to 18 and requires an admission ticket. Free tickets are available beginning at 10am. Ask at the ground floor desk. If you miss the talk, you may interact with Jan Siebold at her book table in the Community Room. Refreshments will be available.
