Find out what teens have been working on all summer long—from writing to rehearsing to performing! "Cut the Cards" is play focusing on the issue of trust - how it can strengthen a friendship and how it can destroy one. Two free public performances will be held -
Friday, July 24 at 7 PM at All Things Art in Canandaigua and Saturday, July 25 at Noon at Wood Library. Directed by Scott Schauman, Drama Teacher at Canandaigua Academy. All ages are encouraged to attend. Free admission.

Last Anime Club meeting before school starts so we had to make it a good one! On Thursday, August 20 from 6-8 PM, check out one of the best-selling anime - Yu Yu Hakusho, a story about a young troublemaker named Yusuke Urameshi. But in a single selfless act Yusuke dies while saving another. For such noble sacrifice he is given a second chance at life, but it’s to be a life far different than the one left behind. Now a Spirit Detective, the young man must track down demons and humans alike who desire to rule over the three realms of reality. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Food and drink provided. Teen Nite/Pizza Taste-Off

Just when you thought Teen Nite couldn't get any better! Not only is that extra half-hour filled with everything you would want to do during the summer - hang out with friends, play video games, board games, surf the web, and eat and drink - but has loads of pizza too! This year, Wood Library's annual Pizza Taste-off will be combined with Teen Nite on Thursday, August 13, from 7-8:30 PM. It is up to you to decide which Canandaigua pizzeria has best cheese, best sauce, best crust, and best overall taste! To do this, you must have more pizza than your stomach can handle! Plus, all that hard work you put into reading this summer finally pays off! Find out who will win the Grand Prize of the Teen Summer Reading Program, a Flip Video Camera, and other fantastic prizes! It will certainly be a busy night! Winners of the Teen Summer Reading Program do NOT need to be present to win.
